Update 1.1: Minor QoL features, new platforms and bug fixes
Update 1.1
New platforms available:
- HTML5 (you can now play it here in the game page, via your browser. As much requested.)
- Linux (should work in any mainstream distro available)
Bug and accessibility fixes:
- Fixed the “pichuun” death SFX delay (and occasional glitching) for the player and JiangShi
- Fixed the scythe slash animation
- Switched Eiki’s dialog lines and name highlighting to a more readable shade of green
- The license notice for Godot Engine and Dialogic were removed from the game’s credits
Additions/Changes:
- Changed the script to it’s final sketch
- Changed the BGM track “Komachi Tempo” to it’s final version
- Added basic main menu with “START” and “QUIT” options
- Added skip dialog
- Game no longer resets to the initial dialog post death
A note about said additions and jam rating:
We’re adding said features post the jam deadline, mostly for quality of life purposes, and in the case of the new versions of the script and “Komachi Tempo” BGM track, technically both were already done before the jam deadline, but since we experienced some exports issues that we had to troubleshoot through during the last minute, we were sadly not able to add both to the final upload in time. Neither the script, nor the BGM are particularly different from the version in the original release.
The bottom line is: If you wish to rate the game in it’s original form, as uploaded during the jam, play the original 1.0 version, but if you wish to play the game closer to the team’s original creative vision with only very minor changes and QoL features, play the 1.1 update.
